Jo Pud is an old Fay family saying. Honey Fay’s mother used to make pancakes,
toast and biscuits on a coal burning stove. When the baked good
came out golden brown…
just perfect… when you couldn’t wait to eat one cuz
it just doesn’t get any better…
That was a Jo Pud.
Honey Fay would make Jo Pud’s for her children. One of her
sons, Ray Fay Jr.,
referenced it to his wife Paula and their children Buddy and Jennifer. The
family would use it
on anything resembling perfection. “That truck is a Jo Pud.”
“That house is a Jo Pud.”
“That’s a Jo Pud tree.” And of course “that
is a Jo Pud pancake, cinnamon roll, biscuit etc.”
Now the Fays have Jo Pud Homes™, Jo Pud Properties™,
Jo Pud Scents™ and Jo Pud T’s™.
Jennifer and her fiancé Rob decided Rob’s mom Beverly’s
pail painting, while therapeutic
and a hobby for Beverly should be shared with others. And those
perfectly hand-painted pails
are full of warming and thoughtful gift items. They are Jo Pud Pails…
and it just doesn’t get any better.
